Herold F. "Bud" Ferrand Jr., 59, Martinsville, died at 10:40 p.m. July 22, 2006, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born Aug. 16, 1946, in Martinsville, he was the son of Herold F. Ferrand Sr, of Martinsville and the late Rev. Mary Katherine (Hicks) Ferrand.

He married Diane D. (Kent) Ferrand June 21, 1965. She survives in Martinsville.

He was a supervisor at Rolls Royce in Indianapolis, retiring in 2005.

He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Martinsville and a 1964 graduate of Martinsville High School.

He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge 1127, had been active in the Martinsville bowling league and enjoyed fishing with his grandsons.

Other survivors include a son, Jeff Ferrand of Martinsville; a daughter, Becky Barnett of Martinsville; three sisters, Daisy Davis of Martinsville, Janet Sue Beller of Ruskin, Fla., and Cathy Ann Lee of Monrovia; four grandchildren, Jason, Travis, Katie and Stacy Barnett; a step grandson, Merit Barnett; and two step great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Costin Funeral Chapel in Martinsville. The Rev. Pat Davis and Pastor Stacy Allen will officiate.

Burial will be at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville.

Visiting hours will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel.

There will be a Moose service Tuesday at 7 p.m.
