Rose Mary Hacker (Bronstetter-Norwood)

Rose Mary Bronstetter-Norwood, 76, Martinsville, passed from her earthly life on Friday, August 5, 2022, at The Waters of Martinsville. Her life began Tuesday, November 6, 1945, in Morgan County, Indiana when she was born to the late Orville Roscoe and Lillian Dorthea (Rike) Hacker.

She was a Martinsville High School graduate with the Class of 1964. Rose Mary enjoyed scrapbooking, singing, dancing, hummingbirds, fishing, and bowling.

She retired from Columbia House in 2001 and was head cashier at Hills Department Store in Bloomington, Indiana.

She leaves behind a host of loving family including her companion of 40 years, Douglas Norwood of Martinsville; sons, Robert Lindsey (wife, Karleen) of Camby, Indiana, and Richard Lindsey of Martinsville; daughters, Robin Wright of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and Tonya Hubbard (husband, Billy) of Martinsville; brothers, Bruce Hacker (wife, Joyce) and Randy Hacker (wife, Tracy) all of Martinsville; 22 grandchildren; 42 great grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son-in-law, Michael Wright; sisters, Loretta A. Hawkins and infant, Doris Mae Hacker; brothers, Fred, Gene, and Joe Hacker and one granddaughter.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, August 11th, 2022, from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. A service celebrating Rose Mary’s life will begin Thursday at 2:00 pm immediately following the visitation at the funeral home. In honoring her wishes, her earthly remains will be cremated following the service.
