Ill for the past few months, Patricia Rose O’Neal Myers, 51, of Martinsville, died July 1, 1997, at 4:43 p.m. at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. She was a lifelong Martinsville resident.

Born March 24, 1946, in Morgan County, she was the daughter of the late William Delmar O’Neal and Frances Hope Rose O'Neal of Martinsville. She married Charles F. Myers Jr. June 6, 1964. He survives.

A graduate of the Martinsville High School class of 1964, the homemaker loved and enjoyed her family dearly. Her hobbies included bicycling, playing euchre and collecting butterflies and pigs.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene.

Surviving besides the husband and mother are a stepmother, June Jarret O’Neal of Martinsville; two sons, Charles W. Myers of Martinsville and Dustin Myers at home: one daughter, Robin Brock of Martinsville: one brother, Michael O'Neal of Bargersville and two sisters, Cathy Pryor of Danville and Christine Lineville of Martinsville: four grandchildren, Carrie Waltz and Travis Atherton of Martinsville and Katelyn and Savannah Brock of Martinsville, and one great-grandchild.

A brother, Daniel G. O’Neal and one daughter, Leisa G. Myers, also preceded her in death.

Her service will be 11 a.m. Friday at the First Church of the Nazarene the Rev. James Walker will officiate. Burial will be in New South Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Costin Funeral Chapel and 10 a.m. until service time Friday at the church.
