James Lee Peedin, 65

WILSON, N.C. - James Lee Peedin. 65, of Wilson, North Carolina, formerly of Martinsville, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 15, 2011, at his residence.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Winstead Peedin; one daughter, Lisa Susan Irby and fiancée Gene Hypes of Hopewell, VA; three sons, Dusty Ray Viverette and wife Connie of Wilson, Marty Clifton Viverette and fiancée Stephanie of Hopewell, VA, and James Lee Peedin II of Fuquay-Varina; his stepfather, Harold J. Edwards of Mooresville; his brother, Robert E. Peedin and wife Nancy of Martinsville; two stepsisters, Cindy Tuck and husband Jim of Brownsburg, Marsha McFarland and husband Gene of Greenwood; a stepbrother, Larry Edwards and wife Judy of Plainfield; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Peedin; mother, Maxine Edwards; and his half-brother, Mark Edwards.

Funeral services were held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, January 17th, at Joyner’s Funeral Home in Wilson, N.C., with calling after the service.  Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. the following day at the Contentnea Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.  Rev. Shelton Whitman officiated at both services.
