Kay F. Dillender, 54, of Martinsville, died Jan.  28, 2001, from a sudden illness of one week. She spent most of her life in Martinsville.

The daughter of Herschell and Martha (Clark) Pritchard, she was born June 13, 1946, in Terre Haute. She married Jeffrey A. Dillender July 7, 1990. He survives.

Mrs. Dillender graduated from Martinsville High School with the class of 1964. She had been employed at Harman-Motive in Martinsville during the 1990s for approximately seven years. Currently she was employed at the Comfort Inn in Martinsville.

Her hobbies included spending time with her grandchildren and flower gardening.

Survivors include three daughters, Michele Walker, Kim Fisher, and Julie Swint-Steinway, all of Martinsville; seven grandchildren, Tiffany and Stacy Fisher, Niles Griffin, James Walker, Jared Swint, Kelsea Smith and Joel Steinway; and two step grandchildren.

The service will be 11 a.m., Thursday at Neal & Summers Mortuary. The Rev. Pat Davis will officiate. Burial will be in New South Park Cemetery.
