Cecil ‘Guinn’ Wells , 70

MARTINSVILLE — Cecil G. “Guinn” Wells, 70, a longtime Martinsville resident, passed from this life on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis, IN. He was the son of Kyle J. and Cordie L. “Peggy” (Hilton) Wells, born June 9, 1946, in Benham, KY.

Mr. Wells grew up in the Cope area in Martinsville, IN, and was a graduate of Martinsville High School with the Class of 1964. He later received his associate’s degree in air conditioning and refrigeration from Alvin Community College in Alvin, TX.

His hobbies included collecting knives and guns and he was an avid NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed chatting on the C.B. radio.

He was a member of the Morgantown Masonic Lodge #358.He leaves behind a host of loving family and friends, including his wife, Alice H. (McMullen) Wells of Martinsville, IN, whom he married on June 16, 1984.

He also leaves behind five sons, William G. Wells, Robert K. and wife Autumn Wells and Patrick W. and wife Faye Wells, all of Martinsville, Jeffery Wool of Tulsa, OK, and Marc A. and wife Danielle Jacobs of Mountain View, MO; two daughters, Paula K. and husband John Scott Earnshaw of Martinsville, and Michelle and husband Larry Donald Herzberg of Beggs, OK; eighteen grandchildren; six great- grandchildren; former spouse, Linda L. (Allen) Wagaman of Martinsville; and several other loving family members.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, from 5-8 p.m. and Friday, Oct. 28th from 10-11 a.m. at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. A service celebrating Guinn’s life will begin Friday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Zions Hill Cemetery in Martinsville, IN.
