Larry Wayne Hartley, 59, Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Waverly and rural Gosport died Feb. 16, 2005, in Mesa.

The son of the late Lawrence T. "Larry" and Catherine Mae (Younger) Hartley, he was born Oct. 1, 1945, in Indianapolis. His wife, Charlotte Sue (Harris) Hartley, whom he married in 1967, survives.

Hartley was a 1964 graduate of Martinsville High School and a veteran of the United States Navy.

Other survivors include a daughter, Wendy Sue Morton, Martinsville, and Anthony Joseph "A.J." Hartley, of Orlando, Fla.; two brothers, Ray R. Hartley, St. Cloud, Fla., and Dan L. Hartley, Splendora, Tex., and a grandson, Shelby James Wesley, 15 months.

The body was cremated.
