Terry Lee Brummett, 74, Martinsville, passed away on Monday, September 23, 2019 at Community Hospital South in Indianapolis.
He was born on Wednesday, June 6, 1945 in Martinsville, Indiana, to the late Leon and Mary Catherine (Sink) Brummett.
Terry was a 1964 graduate of Martinsville High School. He was a machinist at Eli Lilly and Company in Indianapolis where he retired from in 2008. Terry was a member of the Paragon Conservation Club. He enjoyed Martinsville High School Basketball, hunting mushrooms and pheasants and was a racing enthusiast. His greatest joy though was spending time with his three grandchildren playing checkers, fishing, or just hanging out together teasing each other.
Survivors are his wife, Donna J. (Gilbreath) Brummett, whom he married on August 7, 1965; son, Bret Brummett and wife Anna Marie of Bloomington; grandchildren, Madeline Brummett, Henry Brummett and Lars Brummett; siblings, Dorothy Guy and husband Bill of Martinsville, Frances Cramer of Martinsville, Jimmy Brummett and wife Pam of Kentucky, Donnie Brummett and wife Jane of Martinsville and Kenney Brummett of Martinsville.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2019 at New South Park Cemetery with Phil Deckard officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or to the New Life Christian Church in Paragon.
