John S. Davisson, 53, of Peotone, Ill., died from natural causes Dec.11,1999, at his residence.

Born Oct. 14, 1946, in Martinsville, he was the son of Sterner Davisson, de-ceased, and Kathryn Davisson, who survives in Martinsville.

Davisson graduated from Martinsville High School in 1964. He worked for AT&T and Lucent Technology for 30 years, and would have retired in January 2000.

He served four years in the US Air Force.

Other survivors include his wife, Judy Davisson of Illinois; a sister, Mary Kay Poore of Martinsville; a son, Robert Davisson and two grandsons, all of Clammam Bay, Wash.
