Wayne was born on December 17, 1946 and passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018.
Wayne was a resident of Galveston, Texas at the time of passing.
Wayne graduated from Martinsville High school in Indiana in 1964 and bravely joined the Navy at 17 years young.
A funeral service will begin at 12:30 pm on March 24 followed by burial at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Galveston Island Humane Society in memory of Wayne Vaught.

Waynes's widow, Linda, wanted to share the following thoughts with the class.
Wayne and I met when we were both sixteen. No connection! No sparks! After he graduated from MHS, he joined the Navy. In 1968, following 2 tours in Vietnam, he requested Galveston, TX, where we met again and married on September 13th, 1969.
Wayne spent 21 years serving his country in two branches. 10 years in the Navy and 11 years in the Army. He retired from the Army at age 38.
We had two children, by that time. After his military retirement, he worked at several different places. Then, he won big in the Hoosier Lotto.
We lived in several different states. We finally settled in Texas, where I am from. We were married almost 48 years.
Wayne was a wonderful man, honest and loving. He was the kind of man that everyone liked. Guess I am a little prejudiced. I miss him more than I could ever put into words.
