Elizabeth Ennis (Sichting)

Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Ennis Sichting, 76, Martinsville, IN, passed away on Thursday, November 25, at 6pm in Community Hospital South, surrounded by her husband and children. Libby was born in Morgan County, on July 19, 1945, to the late George Thomas and Bonnie Maxine (Balay) Ennis.

Graduating from Martinsville High School in 1963, she married the love her life, Tom Sichting on the 20th day of July, the day after her 18th and his 21st birthday. Libby loved watching the birds playing in the birdhouses that her son made her. She was an avid fan of the Purdue Boilermakers and Cincinnati Reds and loved watching them by her husband’s side. Most importantly she loved being surrounded by her large loving family.

Libby was proceeded in death by her parents, George and Bonnie Ennis; an infant child, Kevin Eugene Sichting; brother, Max Ennis; in-laws, Chester and Margaret Sichting; brothers-in laws, Merrill and Teddy Sichting, Robert Sloan, Chester Drake, John Clayton, Bob Brummett; sisters-in-laws, Judy Ennis, Sherry Sichting; nephew, Bob Sloan; and great nephew, Dustin Sichting.

Libby is survived by her soulmate and husband of 58 years, Tom Sichting of Martinsville; five beloved children, Darla Sichting (Frank) of Terre Haute, Amy Russell (Jim) of Monrovia, Nicole Piercefield (Brady) of Martinsville, Brad Sichting (Sherry) of Mooresville, Christy Tomlinson (Doug) of Beech Grove; thirteen grandchildren, Kyle Parson (Logan), Caleb Parson (Chelsey), Casey Parson (Ashlee), Baylee Russell (Dristin), Brock Russell, Jarrett Johnson (Hannah), Whitney Bailey (Dalton), Emmily Johnson, Molly Piercefield, Zack Piercefield, Korden Sichting (Kayla), Ryan Tomlinson (Jeff) and Rachael Kent (Austin); thirteen great grandchildren, Austin, Everett, Wrenley, Colt, Chloe, Coan, Caleb, Adalynn, Jacob, Charlotte, Bryson, Olivia, and Mallory; siblings, George (Bub) Ennis, Frank Ennis (Georgeann), Richard Ennis (Shani), Dan Ennis (Monica), Jerry Ennis (Phyllis), Lois Drake, Nelda Clayton and Marilyn Williams (Randy); Siblings-in-laws, Barbara Brummett, Anthea Arnold (Phillip), Roger Sichting (Brenda), Tony Sichting (Tina); along with a host of extended family members, childhood friends, and acquaintances.

Services will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, in Light Memorial & Funeral Chapel in Monrovia, with calling from 3pm until the Celebration of Life Service beginning promptly at 6:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the services and a memorial bench will be set later this Spring in Centennial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice of either the Children's Organ Transplant Assoc. in Bloomington (COTA) or to the American Cancer Society.
